About Middleville, MI - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Middleville, Michigan is Barry County village with about 3,400 residents. It is part of the Grand Rapids Metro Area, and its modern history dates back to 1834 when the first settler purchased 400 acres of land on each side of the Thornapple River. Today, the Thornapple-Kellogg School System provides programs and facilities from preschool through adult education. Middleville is conveniently located 25 miles southeast of Grand Rapids and 55 miles west of Lansing.

There are many interesting places to visit in the Village of Middleville. The Yankee Springs Recreation Area consists of 5,200 acres that are great for snowmobiling, cross country skiing, biking, and hiking. The Middleville Farmers Market runs from May through October and offers local produce, honey, baked goods, flowers, and jams. Historical destinations like the Historic Bowne’s Mills Bridge and Historic Bowens Mills are popular destinations for history enthusiasts, and after a day of taking in the sights, visitors may like to stop for a meal at Riverdog Tavern or the Broken Smoker. The village also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including Heritage Day and concerts in Stage Coach Park.

Typical of a humid continental climate zone, summer weather in Middleville is humid and very warm. Average high temperatures reach the low-80s in July and August, but with high dew points, it can feel even hotter outdoors. Most residents use central air conditioning to stay cool at home, and these systems will also remove excess moisture and humidity from indoor air.

Winter weather in Middleville is cold and snowy. Average daily highs stay in the 30s during the peak of the season, and freezing conditions are common overnight. The region receives about 75 inches of snowfall during the average year, so a gas or electric furnace is a necessity to stay safe and warm at home throughout the season. These systems are an important investment, and the best way to get maximum longevity is with regular maintenance and periodic inspections.
